Mamawata was pure magic and truly the ultimate of bliss one could be in. I signed up for this retreat impulsively one night at a time I was itching for adventure and needed a push in my surfing journey. My week with Mamawata not only helped me learn to surf and feel the magic of being out on the water, but it taught me so much about myself. Spending a week with woman from different parts of the world and walks of life, learning from one another and laughing together is a precious gift we all should give ourselves more often. After Mamawata I understood the things in life that allow me to enter a state of flow and I will never stop chasing those things! The food was unforgettable, the coaches and Eki are incredible and feel like best friends by day 1, and of course there is no place like Nosara. 10000/10

There’s life before Mamawata and there’s life after Mamawata – that's how transformative this surf retreat has been for me and it was exactly the type of adventure I’ve been looking for. Eki and Pri did such an incredible job arranging everything. Even if you've never been to Costa Rica or Central America before there’s really nothing to worry about. Just pack your bag and show up. Having two female coaches and a small crew of amazing women made surfing so much more enjoyable. And they’ll help you no matter what your level of experience is. Yet this retreat was so much more than just learning to surf. It’s an unforgettable experience to connect with yourself, the ocean and the local community. If you’re reading this review and thinking about joining, just do it!! You won’t regret spending a week in Nosara with Mamawata.

INCREDIBLE! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mamawata. This is no ordinary surf retreat- it is so much more. Not only do you get technical coaching from local, talented instructors, but you build surfing confidence in a supportive and empowering environment. This is in addition to the wonderful, fresh food thanks to Alegría, restorative yoga sessions, gorgeous accommodations, Salvia spa day, inspiring women, and LOTS of laughs. Eki and Pri have put so much heart and soul into this retreat, and I truly had a memorable week with Mamawata! HIGHLY recommend- this retreat is a MUST!

My experience at Mamawata Flow Retreat was beyond anything I expected. It literally was one of the best weeks of my life. Eki and Andre were phenomenal in every way. Between the awesome surf instruction, the yoga classes, spa treatments on the beach, sunsets every night, laughing and dancing with new friends... it was amazing! The camaraderie of women was incredible. I can't say enough about the food… I had no expectations and ended up eating the freshest, most delicious meals I've ever had! Casper, the chef, worked so hard to prepare three beautiful meals a day and one was better than the next. I can't recommend this experience enough! It was a perfect escape and refueling of the soul.
